The Southern Bank Company – 2024 Scholarship

Each winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the college of their choice for the fall 2024 semester. Applications are due by April 15, 2024.

Scholarship Criteria

Below is a summary of the eligibility requirements for the 2024 scholarship. For the full list of rules, download the application above.

• Must be enrolled as a high school senior
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Must fill out the application above (click “Download document” to download the application)
• Must submit a one-page maximum response to the following essay question: “Discuss something that you have learned in the last year that you were not expecting to.”

Next year we will again be offering high school students in Etowah County, Cherokee County, and Marshall County a chance to be awarded one of three $1,000.00 scholarships to the college of their choice for the fall 2025 semester. Not ready this year? Check back later for your chance to win in 2025.
