The Southern Bank Company – 2026 Scholarship

Each winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship to the college of their choice for the fall 2026 semester. Applications are due by April 15, 2026.

Scholarship Criteria

• Must be enrolled as a high school senior
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Must fill out the application above (click “Download document” to download the application)
• Must submit a one-page maximum response to the following essay question: “Discuss something that you have learned in the last year that you were not expecting to.”

High school students in Etowah County, Cherokee County, and Marshall County have a chance to be awarded one of three $2,000.00 scholarships to the college of their choice for the fall 2026 semester. Not ready this year? Check back later for your chance to win in 2027.
